How should I burn my candle for the first time?

For the first burn, allow the wax to melt across most or all of the surface before extinguishing the candle.

This helps establish a proper melt pool and can help prevent tunneling during future burns.

How long should I burn my candle?

We recommend burning your candle for approximately 2–4 hours at a time.

Do not burn your candle for extended periods, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

How often should I trim the wick?

Trim your wick to approximately ¼ inch before each burn.

A properly trimmed wick helps promote a cleaner and more controlled flame.

Why is my candle tunneling?

Tunneling occurs when the candle burns down the center while leaving wax around the sides.

This can happen when a candle is repeatedly burned for short periods without allowing the melt pool to develop properly.

Following our recommended first-burn and candle-care instructions can help reduce the likelihood of tunneling.

Why does my candle have frosting or small imperfections?

Because our candles are handmade, you may occasionally notice frosting, small imperfections, or variations in the wax surface.

These are natural characteristics of candle wax and do not mean your candle is defective.

Why does my candle look different from another candle?

Every candle is individually hand-poured. Factors such as temperature, fragrance, wax, and the pouring process can cause slight differences between candles.

We believe those little differences are part of what makes a handmade candle special.
